If you want to become a fully certified diver our instructors offer PADI classes from Open Water through Dive Master certification. In just a few days of lessons mixed with in the water instruction you will be able to enjoy all that our beautiful island of Roatan has to offer under the water.
Open Water
Islander Diving offers the PADI Open Water Course, the world’s most popular scuba certification course. The course consists of a section on dive theory, 5 confined water dives (where we teach the skills that make diving fun and safe, and 4 open water certification dives (where you show you can do the skills and also gain valuable experience diving with your instructor.) Course price includes instruction and the use of all necessary equipment. Students are responsible for cost of instructional materials. These vary a bit depending on which crew pack you choose, but are in the range of $40 to $75. Please contact us for more information. We’ll arrange to have the materials mailed directly to you before your trip so you can start right in on them.

Open Water Referral
Want to start your course at home before you arrive on Roatan? No problem! Bring us the referral paperwork from your home dive shop showing you’ve completed the theory and confined water sections and do your four certification dives with us. Spend more time diving during your trip!

Advanced Open Water
Advanced Open Water Includes 5 specialty dives such as underwater navigation and a deep dive ( typically to around 100 ft/30 meters) , book and use of equipment. You gain more experience and skills to help in your enjoyment of the underwater world.
